Customizable Weldment
Design Training

Matrix Engineering Consultants can provide training on steel weldment design in person, at our facility or yours, virtually or a combination! The training materials have been developed for engineers or designers who are involved in the design and development of steel weldments for use in machinery and equipment.

Standard Course Content springboards off information presented in Omer Blodgett’s book Design of Weldments and introduces the use of AWS (D14.0), IIW weld standards and the British Standard (BS 7608) weldment fatigue standard in weldment design.

The training emphasizes the importance of cross functional knowledge sharing and mentorship in developing weldments which meet the commercial requirements of cost, quality, robustness and manufacturability. The typical training is 1 1/2 days in length delivered to 10-30 students.
